Abstract
El artículo analiza el Centro de Pedagogía Urbana (CUP), una organización sin fines de lucro de Brooklyn, Nueva York, que utiliza el arte y el diseño para mejorar el compromiso cívico. El objetivo del análisis es descubrir qué podrían aprender del modelo de trabajo de CUP los arquitectos. Luego de considerar conceptos como “lucro” y “éxito”, el autor revisa las motivaciones que inspiran cada uno de los proyectos de la organización, así como el proceso de estos. Finalmente, se destaca que la experiencia de CUP sirve como un puente para que la arquitectura avance más preocupada del contenido que de las ganancias.
