Abstract
El arquitecto español Alejandro Zaera-Polo, director de la oficina AZPML Architects, es profesor de la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Princeton, de la cual fue decano, y profesor invitado en la Universidad de Yale. Sus obras y textos teóricos han sido publicados extensamente en revistas como El Croquis, Quaderns, A+U, Log y Volume. Gran parte de su producción teórica se encuentra en su libro The Sniper's Log: Architectural Chronicles of Generation-X.
Zaera-Polo fue cofundador de la reconocida oficina Foreign Office Architects (FOA) y decano del Instituto Berlage de Holanda. Entre sus proyectos más destacados se incluyen el Terminal Marítimo de Yokohama (2002), el pabellón español en la Expo Internacional de Aichi (2005), el complejo residencial Carabanchel (2007) y el complejo comercial Meydan (2007).
