USELESS BODIES

Main Article Content

Abstract

An exploration without hypotheses resulted in these objects without function. The starting point is a physical phenomenon, and the insistent iteration is fueled by successive changes in scale, geometry, and layout. The air heats up inside the plastic and slowly decreases its density. The weight of its wrapping can no longer hold its warm interior against the ground. Its silhouette lifts off the ground and rises slowly, casting an elusive, opaque, huge shadow. Its massiveness is only apparent, but the size is real. Its movement is slow and the speed, foreign, because the skin that contains its air is actually the involuntary mirror of its exterior.
