Main Article Content

Abstract

This article explores the intricate relationship between power, mapping, and coastlines, highlighting how drawing lines as a form of resistance shapes our understanding of conflicted urbanization and power dynamics in urban margins. It introduces the Coastliner Lab, a critical mapping initiative that vocalizes social change and speculative imagination in critical zones between water and land. Through the ongoing project, the Istanbul Coastline Atlas, the article delves into the lost, buried, or erased coastlines as a geography that tells the stories of changing urban regimes and environmental struggles in the city.
