Este artículo discute el rol de la esclavitud, la segregación racial y los programas discriminatorios de distri¬bución de la tierra en la estructuración de los actuales patrones de desigualdad y prejuicio de grupos en los Estados Unidos.

This article discusses the role of slavery, racial segregation, and discriminatory government land distribution programs in structuring current patterns of inequality and group prejudice in the United States.
