Abstract
En un mundo fuertemente dominado por la imagen, la realidad arquitectónica asume los caracteres peculiares de una imagen y pierde los propios. Como consecuencia, los productos arquitectónicos están demasiado separados del contexto al que pertenecen. Este ensayo repasa la influencia que han tenido en el devenir de la arquitectura diversas imágenes (algunas de obras nunca construidas) e invita a reflexionar sobre la separación entre imagen y significado que se produjo en el siglo XX. El autor concluye que hoy es posible una arquitectura que produzca valores y no solo imágenes.
