Archigram en Monte Carlo y la idea del paisaje equipado

Abstract
En 1970, Archigram gana el concurso para el Centro de entretenimiento de Monte Carlo, en Mónaco. El perfil del jurado podría explicar la simpatía por las soluciones tecnológicamente sofisticadas, la clase de respuesta que se esperaría de Archigram, y que en parte se cumple, aunque no con la exuberante iconografía megaestructuralista que el grupo había empleado para provocar a la escena arquitectónica durante los sesenta. De hecho, lo que distingue la propuesta de Archigram para Monte Carlo ya no es el expresionismo tecnológico ni la figuratividad cercana a los universos de la ciencia ficción y del comic, sino una determinada idea sobre el paisaje. Este artículo trata de develar esa idea, en sus vínculos con los contextos artísticos y culturales de los sesenta, destacando especialmente las relaciones inéditas que propone Archigram entre paisaje, primitivismo y tecnología.
