Abstract
La arquitectura es parte inherente de toda sociedad. Es un indicador de condiciones politicas, economicas, tecnologicas y culturales. El ambiente construido esta cambiando constantemente, generando nuevas pa- radojas; en consecuencia, el rol del arquitecto tambien esta sujeto a una continua re-formacion. Por medio de diez instantaneas fotograficas encontradas en archivos privados e institucionales, y con el apoyo de extensos “pies de foto”, este ensayo visual intenta proporcionar una vision general, aunque incompleta, del multifacetico ambiente educativo que ha existido, desde mediados del Siglo XIX hasta fines del Siglo XX, en la Escuela Politecnica Federal (ETH) de Zurich. Las instantaneas que se presentan de los educadores de arquitectura y sus respectivos estudios de disen revelan una variedad de metodologis y estructuras didacticas que han dado forma a la Escuela por mas de un siglo.
